Phlebotomy (Blood taking) & Blood Pressure Clinics

Phlebotomy Clinics are run every morning 8.30am to 12.00noon. They are also run at our Branch surgery in Deri on Tuesday morning 9.00am to 11.00am.

Clinics are run in the morning as the samples are collected and transported to the lab at Caerphilly Miners Hospital in time for them to be processed.

HCA's also undertake BP checks.

Fasting Glucose or Cholesterol Blood Tests

If your Doctor or Nurse informs you, that you need a Glucose or Cholesterol blood test - you are required to fast beforehand.

Fasting means nothing to eat or drink after 9.00pm the previous day except water, unless told otherwise.
