Our Health Visitors

Our Health Visitors are Joanna Thomas and Nicola Humphreys. They are based at New Tredegar and can be contacted on 01443 878326. They are able to discuss child and family health issues at home or in the Medical Centre. Well Baby clinic is held every Tuesday between 1.30pm – 4.00pm for advice, weighing and immunisations.

Regular child Health clinics are held where issues such as sleep, behaviour, nutrition and toilet training can be discussed. Health visitors provide support to families, including emotional support, following the birth of a baby. They also work outside the practice in family centres and communities supporting public health initiatives. This work includes health promotion, such as healthy eating, smoking cessation and promoting breast feeding to a wider community.
